Our 100 passenger "Whisper Jet" plane with 4 Turboreactors

The very safe BAe 146-200 jet airplane is made specially for the short runways which are found in Antarctica.

Powered by four 30.0kN (6700lb) Textron Lycoming ALF 502R3s, this small aircraft has impressive performance.

Cruising speed 767km/h (414kt), long range cruising speed 669km/h (361kt). Range with standard fuel 3000km (1620nm)

This regional jet airliner made in the UK was designed to meet the demanding requirements of the regional air transport market where heavy utilization on short flight coupled with high reliability are the most important requirements.

Outstanding airfield performance (very short take-off and landing and high maneuverability) are other attributes of the aircraft, which made it a money making machine for many airlines all over the world. The aircraft has STOL capabilities and very quiet operation.

Jumping over Cape Horn and the mythical waters of the Drake Passage

Victory Adventure Expeditions Ltd. invites you to a unique experience that will take you to one of the most remote places on earth, the coldest, highest, windiest, driest, and most inhospitable continent - Antarctica.

In a only one and one half hours of flying from Punta Arenas to King George Island, the largest Island of the South Shetland Archipielago, you will be at the gates of the white continent.

From King George Island we will navigate for six days and five nights along the Antarctic Peninsula, visiting the most wonderful places and enjoying the best wildlife sites of Antarctica. During the whole journey we will be giving different lectures to introduce and inform you about this wonderful Continent. We are sure this will be the trip of your lifetime.

We are proud to offer the first Antarctic cruise that is perfectly combined with flying, in one trip, to this fascinating end of the planet. It also saves time in a rushed world.

For those who don't have strong sea legs you can now take a unique air/cruise combination that flies you from Punta Arenas in Chile to King George Island (the South Shetlands), to begin an Antarctic Peninsula cruise. You may experience the highlights of the region without having to navigate the occasionally choppy seas of Drake's Passage. There you will find your 46 passenger modern cruise ship waiting for you.

There is a three hour flight from Punta Arenas lands on King George Island in the South Shetlands. You visit the Eduardo Frei Chilean base and embark on the "Grigoriy Mikheev" to Hannah Point on Livingstone Island, home of the Gentoo penguins. You then travel South via Aitcho Island seeing Weddell Seals and visit Deception Island where we see the ruins of the British Antractic Survey shelter which was evacuated in 1967 after a volcanic eruption. You may be able to take a dip in the hot volcanic waters.

The whaling museum at Port Lockroy on Wiencke Island gives you a glimpse into past history before we continue to Paradise Bay. Travelling South we cruise through the stunning Lemaire Channel to Petermann Island, home of Adelie Penguins and King Cormorants. We cruise to Cuverville Island and finally visit Half Moon Island. There you will find the Polish Antarctic Base; Henry Arctowski  Academy of Science . We then return to te Chilean Air Base to fly back to Punta Arenas.

These expeditions are associated with a regional airline with vast experience in this part of the world. Twenty three years of flying in Patagonia and half of that in Antarctica has given them ample knowledge of the area. Oceanwide Expeditions, the ship operator, also boasts many years of in-depth knowledge in the field of Antarctic Expeditions.

Antarctica is an ecological wonder that bewitches explorers, scientists and voyagers alike.

Getting to know and contemplate this yet unexplored continent has been the goal and dream of many adventurers that are not satisfied with simply imagining how it would feel like to traverse its ice caps and who have made up their minds to enter this wildlife paradise. The Antarctic Continent keeps many hidden surprises for those who visit it. This Fascinating territory contains more than 90% of the earth´s land ice, which transforms it into the largest sweet water reserve on earth.

Antarctica has the singularity of being the continent that remained hidden from man during the longest period of time and thus, its first visitors arrived at these virgin frozen lands only two hundred years ago.

Its matchless beauty contrasts with extreme climate conditions, all of which makes it an exotic destination, truly hypnotizing for those few that reach this far away corner of the universe.

Among the main species that make up marine Antarctic fauna are Whales, Elephant Seals, Weddell Seals, Adelie, Chinstrap and Gentoo Penguins, apart from the variety of birds, such as Albatrosses, Petrels and Snowy Sheathbills.

In this enchanting adventure not only will you have the opportunity of coming into contact with animals unique in their species, but will also enjoy the awesome scenery made up by glaciers, mountain and roaming icebergs. An amazing panorama that can only be found in Antarctica.
