THE ONLY ONE IS JESUS

The Only One
We have is Jesus,
But HE is More
Than Enough.
He is The Only One
We can look To
When the Waves
Are rough.
He is Our Only
Help, Our
Only Joy
In Sorrow.
He is The Only
One
Who can bring
To Us a glad
Tomorrow!
He Who can
Walk on the Water
And Make a still
The Sea
Can bring
A Miracle
To You and
To Me.

A WREATH OF HOLLY ON THE DOOR

It Might have been
A lonely Christmas,
But it turned out
To be One of Pure
Giving.
It Was a quiet
Happiness
In My Heart . . .
Just to be joyfully
Living!

There Was a Wreath
Of Holly
On The Door.
Who could ask
For More.
It brightened Up
The entire Place
With it's Cheerful
Welcome
And it's Special
Grace.

There Was no time
To be lonely
Or sad,
Because I Was
Trying so hard
To make People
Glad.

Up to the last Moment
of Christmas Eve,
I Was planning Ways
To lift Hearts
That Might grieve.

I Was thinking of
One More Person
Who Might Not
Know
About the Wondrous
Night Long Ago
When Angels
Heralded The Savior's
Birth
That brought
God's Gift of Love
To all The Earth.

It Could have been
A lonely Christmas
But It Was Lighted
By the sheer
Splendor
Of a Great Star.
I Was filled With
Peace
And Contentment
As it shone Upon
Me Brightly
From Afar.

PRAYER IS MY STRONGHOLD

Prayer is My Stronghold,
And no matter What May
My Life Befall,
I just turn quietly,
gently,
To JESUS . . .
And Give Him All!

DEAR ONE

Now, I Know
It seems
That We
are far apart
But Often . . .
When I am
Thinking of You
And You are
In My Heart
I Meet You
At The Bridge
Of Prayer ~
And always
I can find
You
There.

Then . . . Dear One,
After
We have been
Together
Awhile,
In Our Love,
That is Close
As a Golden
Bond. . .
You slip Away
With a little
Smile
And a tender
Wave
Of Your
Hand.

But I can Smile
Back
Dear One
When You Go . . .
For I Know that
In God's ->
Mysterious Way,
You Will Come
Close
To Me
Again
At The Bridge
When
I Pray.

(Dedicated to my mother and to "Priscila Louise")

I HAVE A FAITH UMBRELLA

I Have A Faith Umbrella
Which I Enjoy Every
Day.
I Raise it Up Over
All My Troubles
Every Time I Pray!

SET FREE !

I have an Anchor
Wherever I May be,
And I Know that
Whatever My Circumstances
Are,
In Jesus' Name
I Am
Set FREE!

I am Not bound
By painful happenings
On almost every side;
For I Know that as to
My perfect well-being,
In Jesus' Name . . .
My Heavenly
Fathers' influence
Stretches far
And Wide.

All I have to do
Is to get on My knees . . .
And My troubles
Will All be swept
Aside
As by a passing
Breeze.

For they all seem
so infinitesimal
When I bring them
To HIM.
What a strange collection
of troubles
To make such a din!
How imperceptive
of Me
To have allowed them
To have seemed
So grim.

For I know
I have an Anchor
Wherever I May
Be,
And that however hard
My circumstances are,
In Jesus' Name
I Am Set FREE!

I SEEMED TO LOSE

I Seemed to lose,
I Could not seem
To gain.
But somehow through
The Mists
I saw the Rainbow
Through the Rain.

I know I had grown
greatly
Within My Soul
Through All the Loss . . .
And that the pain
Had cleansed away
From Me
Much of the
Dross.

I felt I stood
On firmer sod,
and trod
A surer path. . .
With God.
I seemed to lose.
I could not seem
To gain - -
But somehow
Through the
Mists,
I saw the
Rainbow
Through the
Rain!

THE PROMISE

I rely so fully
Upon the Promise
Of God
Each Day.
They are the guides
That show Me
The Way!
They stand out
Vividly
In The Holy Book.
All I Need do
Is Look!

I Look . . .
And then I take
Them
For My Own.
By Prayer . . .
The Seed
Is fully
Prepared,
And then daily
In My Life
The Wondrous
Seed Of Faith
Is sown.

GOD IS CARRYING ALL THE LOAD

It's a Rough Road,
But God is carrying
All The Load!

SMALL THINGS

Do The Small
Things Well ~

The Little Things.

Watch thyself
With Care in
the Little Things
And The Great Things
Will turn
Out
Well.
For it is
In The Little
Things That
The Great
Things
Dwell.

THERE IS A RAINBOW UP AHEAD

There is A Rainbow Up ahead
of You
Just around The Bend!
Help is on The Way
To You
From Your Great Friend.
Rejoice and Sing!
For HE Will For You . . .
Handle Everything!

WE'LL MAKE IT THROUGH

Lord, I Know We'll Make
It Through ~
Just Me ~ Plus You.
We'll Make it
Through . . . With
Me following Closely
After YOU.

A SONG OF THANKS GIVING

We Were Singing
In the Spirit . . .
The Spirit of Prayer.
It was so Wondrous,
Such a Blessing
As We gathered
There!
We Were Singing
In The Spirit,
The Spirit of Love.
O It was Glorious,
So Victorious,
Thanking our Great
God
Above.
