PRAISE GOD IN THE VALLEYS

Praise God

In The Valleys.

Praise HIM

From the Chasms

Deep.

For from

Wherever

You Praise

Him

HE Will

A Tryst

With You

Keep!

He Wants

To Come

Closer and

Closer*

So that HE

Lives fully

In Your

Life.

He Wants

To bring You

JOY

In The Valleys

In Place

of strife.

So praise HIM

In the Valleys

As Well as

On The Mountain Tops

With Their Wider

View.

Praise Him

Under Every

Circumstance

Is All He Wants

For You.

A STORM IN MY SOUL

There is a

Storm

In My soul

But as

The Wind

Roughly Blows

I Know

There Is

Someone

Who All

about the storm

KNOWS.

EVERYTHING WILL BE BETTER

TOMORROW

Things will be better

tomorrow

I just know God

will lift me

from pain

and sorrow.

I know that my

skies

will be blue...

and in my heart

HIS JOY will

flow through.

I just know

things will

be better

tomorrow!

A SONG OF THANKSGIVING

We were singing

in the Spirit-

The spirit of prayer.

It was so wonderous,

such a blessing

as we gathered

there.

We were singing

in the spirit,

The spirit of love,

It was glorious,

so victorious.

Thanking our

great God.

MY DEFEATED HEART ROSE AGAIN

II feel content Within

His Hand -

His joy becomes My

Joy.

His sorrows stand

For all the Woe

My swelling heart

must surely

know.

HUCKLEBERRY PICKING

Who am I

in the early Morn

But a Wood Sprite

Who has been

Reborn?

Picking from bush

of bright

Huckleberry - -

Thinking dawn - fresh

Thoughts

While I tarry...

I sing as the berries

fall

in my pail

For the pure joy of the

hour

On a gree, Woody trail

Surely I am a

WoodSprite

Just reborn - -

As I gather bright

Huckleberries

In the

Early Morn.

THOUGHTS ON A WISCONSIN SPRING MORN

Was that a Robin?

I thought...

As flocks of birds swept down

On the large bare tree.

Could those be the robins,

Which I Came

To See?

Wonderingly, I Viewed across

The Lake

The last diagonal streaks

Of snow,

Black, dark green... the Mystic ice

Had Now a transformed blush

Of Color

Which I did Not know.

Soft, dainty Clouds as light

As feathers

Filled the azure Springlike sky...

The Very air exhilarated Me

Like Balm,

And I gave a sigh...

Could this idyllic Waking

Be Only of transient

Worth?

Could Not its Message

Bring the World

A real Rebirth?

For With the great pulsing,

Softening beauty,

God did a Miracle

Perform.

From Winter's struggle

Amidst ice and snow

Emerged Spring

Radiant, tender, Warm.

THE PARADE

Suddenly...

People Were sitting On every curb,

Ice Cream Cones in hand;

Boys appeared,

Selling balloons;

And along the street

Came The Band!

There Were Clowns

With long striped Neckties

Down to their knees.

And a Whirl of Wondrous

Laughter

Danced On the Breeze.

Now, the groups Came

Marching in finest

Formations,

With "Alice In Wonderland"

"Dairyland"

And a Child star

Among the Parade's

Fascinations.

Hundreds of Children

Seemed to fill

The Town,

Receiving Big Smiles

From a passing Clown.

Grownups became Children,

And Troubles All

Were left

Far behind.

At last,

The end of the Procession

Drew Near:

With a fleet of Swaying

Camels

To bring up

The rear.

Quickly...

The Crowds scattered

Like leaves in a Wind,

Scuttling hurriedly here

And there.

The curbs soon Were

Empty,

And strangely...

The streets almost

Looked bare!

I LOVE A RAINY DAY

I Love

A Rainy Day

With dripping eaves

And sparkling drops

Falling to earth

On bright

Curled leaves.

I Love

A Sky

All gray at

The top

With streaks

of light

Below

Telling us

The Rain

Sometime

Will stop.

I Love

The Way

The Birds

Chirrup

In the rain

As though

They know

It is

For them

A Very special

Gain.

I Love

The freshness

Of the Air.

As there is

Nothing

To Compare

With all of

The Gifts

Brought Me

By The Rain.

I Love

The Rain,

I Love

The Rain!

A COURAGE POEM

I am Walking

In The Light

Through the darkness

Of the Night,

And JESUS' Hand

Upholds Me

So that I Can Walk

Strong and free

Without Him

I Could not

The Mountain

Climb

Which rises up

Before me,

But in HIS

Strength

I find I Walk

In Joy and

Glory.

On This Walk

My Prayers

Make the Very

Air feel

Fragrant and

Fresh.

And thoughts

Of doubt

Cannot My Life

Enmesh.

For the enemy

With all his

Fears and

Other Wiles

Has fled,

And JESUS

Reigns

Completely

Over My life

Instead.

MY YOKE IS EASY

My Yoke

Is Easy

My burden

Is light!

It Matters

Not

How dark

The Night.

JESUS is

Here

With All

Of HIS Triumph

And His

Splendid Cheer.

But GOD IS MIGHTIER

But God

Is Mightier.

He is Mightier Than

The Widest Plain.

It is HE Who

Sends The Rain.

God is Mightier

Than the Mightiest

Waterfall.

He is Mightier

Than anyone. And

He is Mightier

Than ALL.
